CJCF's Board of Directors and Adviory Board members, camp counselors and most program staff are volunteers.
The support CJCF receives from the surrounding community is living proof that the contribution of each individual and group truly makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children with cancer and their families. CJCF's success is a tribute to the surrounding communities' generous heart in action.
All CJCF funds and in-kind contributions come from individuals, community groups, churches, corporations, and public and private foundations. In order to meet without restrictions the highly individualized needs of the children and families we serve, CJCF does not receive any federal, state, or local government grants nor does it receive moneys from the United Way or the American Cancer Society.
It is noteworthy that management and general expenses for the entire period of operations of the foundation - from 1986 through 2009 - are only 6% of total revenues. Financial revenues are available upon request.
Throughout its history, CJCF has on average directed $.90 of every dollar received to programs that support children with cancer and their families.
