Rain or shine, the 3,168-sq.-ft. Crab Indoor Activities Complex is the ideal place for small and large groups to meet, eat and play indoors. Constructed in 1995 and 1996, the complex's Red Crab and Blue Crab buildings are heated and air conditioned for year-round comfort (Capacity: 100 per each 36'x44' building).
The Red Crab building features a large-screen, rear-projection TV with VCR and plenty of room for meetings, small group gatherings and dances. If you love games, you'll enjoy playing table tennis, air hockey and billiards. And, when the weather turns cooler, you can curl up in front of the Red Crab's wood-burning fireplace and munch on some popcorn form the old-fashioned popcorn popper.
The versatile Blue crab building can serve as a 100-seat dining or meeting hall or a gym for half-court basketball or wallyball. A premier facility, the Blue Crab features state of the art construction including acoustically treated walls, variable halide lighting, tinted windows and a projection screen for effective audio-visual presentations.
The Blue Crab's commercial grade warming kitchen offers ample refrigeration and modest freezer space, double convection warning ovens with space for 12 sheet pans or 24 hotel pans, two microwave ovens, a 50-cup coffee pot, an ice machine and a three-compartment sink. Meals can be served from a buffet line or per plate using the kitchen's pass-through server.
